Why I’ll Never Leave Mount Royal

Every morning, I’m reminded why I chose to make Mount Royal my home.

This community has a spirit unlike any other place I’ve ever lived.

My partner and I often laugh that our family is a little “royal” in its own way.

Our black lab Duke  is a familiar face in the park - always ready for a playdate or photo op with his royal fur friends.
Our cat Lucky  watches it all from the window like he’s overseeing the kingdom.

We love every rhythm of life here - from chatting with neighbors on evening walks to sipping coffee on a front porch framed by century-old trees.
There’s an intimacy to Mount Royal that feels more like a village than a neighborhood - where everyone still knows everyone, and you can share a laugh (or a cookie) over the fence.

The Annual Progressive Dinner, where each course is hosted in a different neighbour’s home
